The Heart Behind
the School
House of Montessori Preschool was founded by Herisanut Napata, a passionate early childhood advocate with a deep belief in the power of purposeful education during the formative years of a child's life.
Herisanut's journey to founding the school was born from two things: a mother's heart and an educator's eye. As a parent herself, she understood what it felt like to want more for her children: a school where they would truly be seen, respected, and given room to grow at their own pace. At the same time, she saw a significant gap in quality early childhood education in Cape Coast, and knew she had both the calling and the tools to fill it.
Inspired by the Montessori philosophy, Herisanut envisioned a school where children are respected as individuals, nurtured with care, and given the freedom to grow academically, socially, and emotionally at their own pace. Her commitment is rooted in the belief that education should not only prepare children for school, but for life, raising curious learners, responsible citizens, and future leaders who love learning and respect their community.
Our Core Values
These values shape every decision we make, every interaction with a child, and every relationship we build with families.
Every child is a capable, whole person deserving of dignity, patience, and trust. Not to be rushed, compared, or diminished.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards: in our teaching, our conduct, and our commitment to every child and family we serve.
The physical, emotional, and psychological safety of every child is non-negotiable and comes before everything else we do.
We are rooted in Ghanaian values and believe the school, families, and community grow strongest when they grow together.
We model what we teach. Our staff, our school, and our culture are built on continuous growth, curiosity, and improvement.
A child who feels loved learns better. We create a warm, joyful environment where every child knows they belong.
Meet Our Team
Behind House of Montessori are people who believe deeply in children, in this community, and in each other.
A Montessori-certified educator and passionate early childhood advocate, Herisanut founded House of Montessori Preschool to fill a critical gap in quality early education in Cape Coast, and to give every child the start in life they truly deserve. Her focus on character development, independence, and holistic learning shapes everything about this school.
Brian Templeton is a valued partner at House of Montessori Preschool, bringing strategic insight, operational support, and a shared commitment to the school's mission and long-term growth.
